Musk Starts Twitter Poll on Reinstating Ex-President Trump

Musk launches Twitter poll on former President Trump’s reinstatement Elon Musk has asked his more than 116 million Twitter followers whether former President Donald Trump should be reinstated on the social media site. 59% of respondents voted yes, up from a high of 64%.

Musk said earlier on Friday that no decision had been made on Trump’s account, but he reinstated accounts linked to conservative media personality Jordan Peterson and the satirical website Babylon Bee.

Trump was permanently banned from Twitter in 2021 due to the risk of further incitement of violence. He formally entered the 2024 US presidential race earlier this week, which he has been teasing for months.

Musk has a history of giving his followers everything from the edit button for Twitter to selling shares in Tesla Inc and even voting which politician or billionaire is more trustworthy.
