At least 50 team members were involved in the layoffs, according to multiple outlets. Insider’s Kali Hayes first reported in January that 50 people on Twitter’s product team would be let go. Crawford made headlines last November following the rollout of CEO Elon Musk’s hardline work culture when a photo of him sleeping on the floor of Twitter headquarters went viral.
